In order for Geothermal everywhere to become a reality, there needs to be an urgency. Andy and the team at CeraPhi are working tirelessly to make Geothermal everywhere a reality and focusing on closed loop technologies. They are developing a patented approach with a heat exchanger downhole to increase energy output and efficiencies in order to create a more favorable economic model. Repurposing and retrofitting of existing oil and gas infrastructure is another target they are looking to capitalize on to provide electricity if needed, but especially direct use applications.
CeraPhi is one of the companies that is working tirelessly to advance Geothermal as a sustainable energy source for the future and believes that it has the potential to decarbonize not only the electric sector, but the industrial and commercial heating sectors which account for majority of the GHG emissions. They are developing patented approaches to closed loop technologies, which will implement heat exchanger technologies downhole to increase efficiencies and power output. Andy and I discussed the renewed interest in Geothermal and the revived push to make it a global energy source, talked about the landscape as it stands and how to work collaboratively between all of the energy sector to help advance it and discussed CeraPhi's model and how it differs from some of the others out there and their goals for the long term.
