Ushering in the Geothermal Decade. That is what many in the space refer to when they talk about the current state of the Geothermal industry and the revived efforts to make it available ubiquitously across the globe. Baker Hughes is squarely in the middle, developing new technologies, investing in new start-ups and helping to spread the word on why Geothermal deserves more attention especially within the Oil and Gas industry. Taylor Mattie, Geothermal Innovations leader with Baker Hughes is helping to lead this effort and I sit down with him to talk about the industry as a whole and how Baker Hughes is helping to usher in the golden decade.
Geothermal is not new and companies such as Baker Hughes have been involved with it for decades, but there is a revived purpose in Baker Hughes's mission and it is to help make Geothermal everywhere a reality (among many other technologies). They are working to usher in this "Golden Decade" of Geothermal leaning on the past 40 years of work. Taylor Mattie, the Geothermal Innovations leader at Baker Hughes sits down with me to talk about the overall industry, why today is different, the hope for the future and how Baker is taking a pragmatic view on how to help advance Geothermal.
